Car crashes into home
A vehicle crashed into a house in West Austin on Wilson Heights Drive at Lost Creek Boulevard, which is west of Loop 360. The car was towed from the scene around 6:30 a.m.
The Austin Fire Department says two people were inside sleeping at the time but they didn’t suffer any injuries.
As for the driver of the car, he was treated on scene and released. Officials say he was arrested for driving under the influence.
AFD says it had to install wooden beams where the car collided into the home to keep the home from collapsing. It says the wooden beams are a temporary fix making sure there's no other damage.
