Cedar Park police release image of person of interest

Detectives with the Cedar Park Police Department have released an image from video that has been uncovered of an individual who was in the Buttercup Creek Boulevard area at the time of a home break in on October 8 where it's believed a possible sexual assault motivated burglary happened.

Police are asking the public's help to identify this person of interest. If you have any information you're asked to call Cedar Park police at (512) 260-4600.

In a press release released on October 9, police say a man broke into a home on Buttercup Creek Boulevard after 5:30 a.m. on October 8. Officials say that it's believed the resident inside the home was sexually assaulted.

The suspect is described as a man in his early 20s with dark skin, around 5'7" inches tall and with a small to medium build.

Police say the suspect was last seen wearing a sleeveless blue shirt, gray basketball shorts and a do-rag on his head.
