Couples tie the knot on Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is all about celebrating love. And if you're in a relationship, what better way to do that than to "tie the knot"?

About 42 couples got married on Wednesday at the Travis County Courthouse. Judge Jan Breland has been putting on this free event since 1989. In the past few years since she retired, Breland's husband, Judge John Lipscomb has helped her officiate.

"Well we're kinda mushy...romantics. We've been together 25 years. Valentine's Day is our favorite holiday and we wouldn't trade it for the world," Lipscomb says.

Both Breland and Lipscomb say they officiate the wedding in Spanish or English, which ever the couple prefers. We're told people started calling last December to register.
