Four people killed in Del Valle house fire

Four people were killed in a house fire in Del Valle. Firefighters say they had a hard time finding the victims during the initial search due to debris inside the makeshift home.

The fire happened in the 8300 block of Linden Road.

Distraught family members spoke with law enforcement after the fire. Travis County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Kristen Dark tells FOX 7 that a neighbor called the fire in a little before 6 a.m.

The house is believed to be an old pier and beam.

Officials say to their knowledge there were no survivors. They also say they have no reason to think this was a criminal act but they are not ruling anything out.

Dark says the investigation into what happened is underway and is expected to take some time.
