Deadly shooting in North Austin

Police are on the lookout for a suspect after a deadly shooting in North Austin. It happened around 3 a.m. in the 300 block of Powell Lane.

A man was shot and taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries at around 4 a.m. 

Witnesses told police that the victim and the suspect had a conversation outside of the home. Those witnesses were inside the home and described the suspect to police.

The suspect is described as a white male believed to be his 20s. He is estimated to be around 5'11" to 6' tall with a somewhat muscular build and light stubble. He was last seen in a camouflage hat, brown vest with a dark undersleeve shirt and dark jeans.

The suspect reportedly drove off in a 2014 or 2015 4WD Chevy truck.

Police tell FOX 7 that currently the death is being investigated as a murder.
