Early voting underway for Texas primaries

Early voting gets underway for the Texas primaries. This year there's added importance because Texas is part of Super Tuesday.

Super Tuesday is when 14 states all vote in primaries or hold caucuses and what happens could influence how the rest of the country votes going forward.

On this year's ballot, voters will pick a presidential candidate to represent either the Republican or Democratic Party, congressional positional positions, railroad commissioner and state representatives.

Texans can cast their ballot at any early voting location in the county where you're registered.

Voters must present one of seven acceptable forms of photo identification. That includes a driver's license, personal ID card, an election identification certificate, a CHL military ID card, citizenship certificate or a passport.
