Fatal motorcycle accident in North Austin

The Austin Police Department is investigating a fatal motorcycle accident in North Austin. 

This happened in the early afternoon on Thursday. The accident was at the intersection of Pecan Park Blvd and U.S. Highway 183 Access Road Northbound. The vehicles involved were a motorcycle and a pick up truck. 

The intersection is closed at this time. Expect delays in that area. 

Two passengers were riding the motorcycle. One person from the motorcycle, the male driver, was dead on arrival. The other, a female passenger, was transferred to St. David's Round Rock Medical Center with serious injuries. 

Austin Police are still working to identify the passengers of the motorcycle. No tickets relating to this incident have been issued at this time. This investigation is still ongoing. 

APD hopes to have the intersection reopened in time for evening rush hour.
