Firefighters investigating Williamson County house fire
Firefighters are investigating a house fire in northeast Williamson County. It happened around 2 a.m. in the 4100 block of FM 973 which is southwest of Taylor and east of Hutto.
When crews arrived the house was engulfed in flames. They had to use a defensive approach to put it out due to a limited supply of water.
Officials say everyone inside made it out safely including the family dog.
Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody said it's believed the fire was caused by a heat lamp. He reminds people to make sure they are using their heaters properly.
