Free breakfast at McDonald's for STAAR test

McDonald's owners of the Greater Austin area are offering free breakfast for students, 3rd to 8th grades, and their teachers in preparation of the STAAR or State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness test.

Coupons aren't necessary. Any child from 3rd to 8th grade who dines in at a participating McDonald's restaurant between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. on March 29 with their parent or guardian will receive their choice of an Egg White Delight McMuffin or Fruit and Maple Oatmeal, apple slices and their choice of 1% low fat milk or a Minute Maid apple juice box.

Teachers can also can get the free breakfast with proof of a valid teacher identification card.

All McDonald's restaurants in the Greater Austin area are participating. The free breakfast is being offered in San Antonio, Houston, Waco and Dallas.
