Leander Police searching for Bank Robbery suspect

The Leander Police Department said the search is underway for a suspect who robbed a bank Monday afternoon. 

Police said the suspect walked into the Compass Bank a little after 11:00 AM and demanded money from a teller. After taking an unknown amount of money, the suspect simply walked out of the bank.

Authorities said the suspect is a white or Hispanic male, around 5' tall, and weighs 135 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, tan pants, a yellow safety vest, and a camouflage baseball hat. The suspect left the scene driving an early 2000's model tan or gold Mercury Marquis with a vinyl top.
