The Llano river is expected to reach major flooding levels by Monday night.

The Llano River at Llano and near Mason is expected to reach major flooding levels Monday night.

Over the weekend, Junction, Texas saw a large amount of rain and so did the Llano River that runs through the area. The National Weather Service is forecasting the water to rise over 23 feet, which puts the river at a major flooding status.

Not all the water will make it to Llano as there are runoffs and reservoirs along the way. We will continue to track the river levels and keep you updated.

As of 3 p.m. Monday the river was at 1.1 feet at Llano and near Mason.
