According to the Austin Police Department Daniel Nathan Gillie, 28, has been charged with sexual assault of child, a 14-year old female student at his martial arts school.
Authorities said in December 2015, a female victim told police that Gille sexually assaulted her, when she was 14, from December 2011 until March of 2014.
The victim, now 18, told police she first met Gillie in 2010 after enrolling at the Champion Martial Arts School, where Gillie is co-owner.
According to police, the victim began taking private lessons from Gillie in the summer of 2011, and soon after Gillie convinced the victim's parents to enroll her in an on-line school program, so Gillie could spend more time with her.
Police said during that time, Gillie expressed interested in having a relationship with her.
The victim told police Gillie first had sexual contact with her in December 2011 and Gillie would pick her up from her parent's house and spend all day with her at his home, engaging in sexual acts up to four times a day because Gillie told her "that is what his girlfriend does."
According to police, in March of 2014 the sexual encounters stopped after the victim had built "the courage to leave (him)."
Gillie is currently being held in the Travis County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
The sexual assault charge is classified as a 2nd degree felony.
