Man arrested for attacking woman on Rainey Street
Austin Police have arrested a man accused of attacking a woman at a downtown bar. 29-year-old Christiper Depolo is now charged with aggravated assault.
The victim, who has chosen to keep her identity hidden out of concern for her safety, suffered severe damage to her right eye.
According to court paperwork, Depolo touched the victim inappropriately and wouldn't leave her alone. When she told him to leave, Depolo grabbed a martinin glass from the table and threw it at her.
The glass shattered in her face and shards got in her eye.
Doctors say she won't lose her eye but she will have long-term burred vision.
Depolo is being held on 75-thousand dollar bond.
