AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - Austin police have arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl under the Loop 360 Bridge at Bull Creek District Park.
21-year-old Yeison Misael Ortiz-Ortiz was charged with sexual assault of a child and booked into the Travis County Jail. His bond was set at $100,000.
Court paperwork said the victim came to the park to swim on Wednesday and then walked to part of the creek where there were less people. That's when she said Ortiz approached her and started complimenting her appearance repeatedly.
The arrest affidavit said the teenager started walking away and said she had a boyfriend. While walking up the trail the victim said Ortiz pushed her against a rock and sexually assaulted her.
Police said following the assault, the victim returned to her apartment and called 911.
She described the man to police who visited the park and found Ortiz who matched the description. The victim also positively identified Ortiz, according to police.
The affidavit states Ortiz admitted to having sex with the girl, but told officers it was consensual and the victim told him she was 19.
