Man arrested in connection to deadly Del Valle crash

A man has been arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter in connection with a deadly weekend crash in Del Valle. DPS says 25-year-old Asael Salcedo was drunk he caused the wreck.

Troopers who were out at the scene late in the evening on January 31 say Salcedo had red and glassy eyes, slurred speech and was swaying while being interviewed.

They believe Salcedo was headed west on FM 812 when he tried to pass a car in a no passing zone. 

Salcedo hit the car driven by Leandro Aguilar and caused it to roll over. Aguilar died at the scene,.

Salcedo is being held in the Travis County Jail on a $150,000 bond.
