Zachary Dugger, 27, has been charged with Intoxication Manslaughter for the death of his passenger in Sunday's wreck on Cooper Lane.

On Sunday police found Dugger's Land Rover on its side with the roof bent around the tree on the 6700 block of Cooper Lane. The passenger, Lori Pollock, was pinned inside of the car and later pronounced dead on the scene.

Police said Dugger told them he was driving north on Cooper Lane traveling 45 MPH in a 30 MPH zone when he swerved to avoid a dog. Dugger said he locked up his brakes and lost control of the car.

Dugger was taken to UMC Brackenridge and treated for minor injuries. While at the hospital, officers said Dugger's breath had a strong odor of an alcohol, as well as bloodshot, glassey eyes and slurred speech.

Dugger was booked into in the Travis County Jail and is being held on a $75,000 bond.
