Man crashes truck through convenience store

A man crashed his truck into a convenience store in North East Austin Saturday morning.

Two people were sitting at a table when it happened. The man, 38-year old Harry Hunter is being charged with intoxicated assault. Arrest records show Police believe he was on PCP.

Police also say Hunter had driven his truck the wrong way down an I-35 frontage road when he landed in the parking lot at the Walnut Market on East Anderson Road. That's when he barreled through the wall.

Video of the crash shows his wheels continuing to spin. Hunter tried to walk away but was caught.

One of the men at the table had to be taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge. According to arrest records, Hunter is being held at the Travis County Jail on a $40,000 bond.
