Man dies after being shot at Halloween costume party
Austin police say one of the victims of a Halloween costume party shooting has died.
MULTIPLE PEOPLE SHOT BY MAN DRESSED AS SANTA CLAUS AT HALLOWEEN PARTY
The shooting happened on October 29 at around 6:12 a.m. at a house in the 5500 block of Avenue F.
Police received a call about a man dressed as Santa Claus who shot someone. When officers arrived they found four people with gunshot wounds.
Officers were told the suspect went to a neighbor's home and they located the suspect and took him into custody without incident. The suspect has been identified as 32-year-old Randall Jones.
Three victims were taken to the hospital and the fourth who was shot refused to be transported.
Police say 37-year-old Michael McCloskey died of his injuries at the hospital at around 3:16 p.m. on October 29.
