Man dies after driving truck through barricade into Pedernales River
Officials are investigating exactly how a truck ended up in the Pedernales River.
Crews were called out to the 25000 block of Old Ferry Road around 11 p.m. on December 2. Witnesses reported a truck drove through a makeshift barricade and into the river.
The vehicle was pulled out hours later, early in the morning on December 3.
The victim is described as a white man in his 40s. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Travis County Sheriff’s deputies say there is no sign the driver tried to avoid the crash. They’re trying to determine if he drove the vehicle into the river intentionally.
