Man exposes himself to child in Cedar Park

Cedar Park Police say a man exposed himself to an eight-year-old boy inside of a Target store bathroom. They need your help tracking him down to prevent this from happening again.

He is described as Hispanic and between 20 to 30 years old.
He was last seen leaving the store in a white four-door passenger car with tinted windows.
It leaves community members on high alert.

Nadia Bakir has two young sons, ages five and two.
She surprised that going to a store like target could potentially put them at risk.

"This is just one of those neighborhoods that you feel is safe and everyone is just so friendly, just good people," say Nadia Bakir, mother.

Cedar Park Police responded to the 1890 Ranch Shopping Center on February 24th.
They say an eight-year-old boy was inside of the men's restroom at Target when a roll of toilet paper came out from underneath one of the stalls.
The man occupying the stall asked the boy to get the toilet paper for him.
He then reportedly opened the door with his pants down, exposing himself.

"Well it's just shocking and saddening obviously. This is one of those things that you don't even think about having happen to your child," says Bakir.

The boy told one of his parents immediately.
They notified a store employee who in-turn called police.
We're told incidents like this are rare for the Cedar Park community.

"I think it's very important for parents to talk to their children about 'stranger danger.' Let them know what's appropriate and inappropriate conduct from others. If a child experiences inappropriate conduct from a stranger, parents should be able to talk to their child and make them feel comfortable. You need to tell an adult right away, tell parents, tell teachers, tell law enforcement because we're all here to help them," says Sgt. Christopher Dailey, Cedar Park Police Dept.

Police were able to get a copy of the surveillance video.
They have two images that are believed to be the suspect leaving the store.
Bakir hopes someone will be able to identify him but in the meantime, she's taking action.

"This is just going to be another one of those things on my list, as a parent, of topics to talk to my child about. I'm making sure that we can have an open dialogue about things that make him feel unsafe," says Bakir.
