Man killed in overnight auto pedestrian crash
A man is dead after an auto pedestrian crash overnight. It happened around 10 p.m. on September 18 in South Austin on S. 1st Street.
Police say a driver hit man in the road near the St. Elmo intersection. The man died at the scene.
The Vehicular Homicide Unit is taking over the case. They say they have to look into all possibilities when investigating these types of incidents.
Police say the driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with them.
