Montana fugitive caught in Marble Falls

The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force captured Robert Louis Lamere Jr., 50, in Marble Falls on Tuesday afternoon. Lamere was wanted in Montana for failing to register as a violent offender, a probation violation based on his sexual assault and stalking convictions. 

According to authorities, Lamere was arrested on the 1700 block of Mustang Drive in Marble Falls. 

According to authorities, Lamere fled to Marble Falls after learning Montana police were planning to arrest him on two outstanding warrants. Montana authorities turned the investigation over to Lone Star Task Force after learning of Lamere's location. 

Lamere was taken to the Burnet County Jail.
