All clear given at Texas State University following multiple threats

UPDATE: Police have given an all clear for the LBJ Student Center. Police say after a search of the area, no threat was found.

Texas State University in San Marcos evacuated the LBJ Student Center due to a second threat on Tuesday.

Texas State Police asked the public to avoid the area while they investigated.

Earlier on Tuesday university police said they were aware of a threat at the same Student Center. An all-clear was given for that threat around 12:40 p.m. Close to an hour later, police said there was a second threat and they evacuated the LBJ Student Center. University police gave an all-clear for that threat around 2:54 p.m.

Texas State police said no threat was found following a search of the area.

Police say Tuesday's first threat originated from the same mobile device as the bomb threat last week, which caused the same student center to be evacuated.
