Music lover organizes ‘Walk for Vegas' to remember victims

An Austin man is walking from downtown to Zilker Park to bring more awareness to the "Las Vegas shooting. Logan Cassidy organizer, the “Walk for Vegas.”

He kicked off the event Friday, but  will be meeting at city hall Saturday and Sunday. He's also planning on walking next weekend to ACL.

Cassidy says he felt compelled to hold this, because ACL is the next big music festival since the Las Vegas shooting. His message is to unify under music and not be afraid.
He says his biggest motivation to hold this, came from a text from his mother the day after the  massacre.

“She questioned me going to the music festival this weekend, and I actually thought the opposite way when I heard that. I felt more motivated to go. It excites me because I want to get back out there and live my life to the fullest as opposed to living in fear," said Cassidy.

Cassidy will meet at 2:00 pm on both weekends at city hall. He hopes all who want to come can join him
