AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - One person was injured in a collision on Highway 71.
According to the Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services, first responders were dispatched to a single vehicle vs. fixed object call in the 4600 block of eastbound Highway 71 around 11 a.m. on Monday, July 15. One person had to be extricated from the vehicle.

He was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center by STARflight with critical life-threatening injuries.
Police will be investigating what led up to the accident.
