Parents charged with capital murder of 21-month-old boy

Kyle police have arrested and charged the parents of a 21-month-old boy who died on July 4, 2018.

On July 4, officers responded to the 300 block of Marquitos Dr. about an unresponsive boy. First responders were unable to revive him.

“Officers observed visible injuries on the victim's body, including bruising on his left and right rib area, bruising on his back and bruising on his forehead,” Kyle Police Chief Jeff Barnett said.

The young boy died in the home, according to Barnett. The investigation found there had been prior Child Protective Service reports regarding the parents and the boy.

Another child of the parents was found to have bodily injuries. That child was removed by CPS.

24-year-old Stevie Dwayne Williams and 20-year-old Dazrine Ruth Chagoya-Williams have both been charged with capital murder of a person under 10 years old and injury to a child with serious bodily injury.
