Pedestrian hit while crossing lower deck of I-35
AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - A man was taken to a local hospital after he was hit by a car while crossing the lower deck of I-35 in downtown Austin on Wednesday.
According to Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services, medics were dispatched to the 4200 block of northbound I-35 around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22 for a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle. The victim, who is believed to be in his fifties, was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.
It is not clear at this time if the driver will be facing charges.
