Police investigate bank robbery in Northwest Austin

Austin police are investigating a robbery that happened Thursday morning at the Chase Bank in the 3300 block of Northland Dr. The FBI Central Texas Robbery Task Force is assisting in the investigation. 

APD says the suspect showed a note and demanded cash. He left the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police describe the suspect as a black male, 40 to 50 years old, 5'10'' with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded jacket, tan 'boonie' style hat, light colored pants and black/grey tennis shoes. 

Police are asking the public to call (512) 974-5092 or Crime Stoppers at 512-472-TIPS with any information about the robbery.
