Police on lookout for robbery suspect
Austin Police are on the lookout for a robbery suspect who's believed to have pink dye all over him.
This is Austin's first bank robbery of 2016.
On Friday morning, a male suspect entered the Comerica Bank and displayed a note demanding money from a teller. The robbery occurred at the bank at 2315 E. Anderson Lane.
The suspect left the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash, as well as a dye pack.
Investigators believe the dye pack exploded onto the suspect, so he will likely have dye on himself and/or his clothing. No weapon was displayed and no injuries were reported.
Suspect Description:
- Black male, light complexion
- Mid 20's to early 30's
- Approximately 5' 5" - 5' 8"
- Thin build with facial hair
- Wearing a black jacket, red button up shirt with a white t-shirt underneath, and a white Nike beanie.
Money from the robbery somehow scattered onto the sidewalk outside of the bank as the suspect fled.
This case remains under investigation by APD Robbery detectives.
