Police searching for South Austin undwerwear thief

Saturday on Chippeway Lane in South Austin, police say a woman woke up to an unpleasant surprise. Court paperwork says she was sleeping on her couch when she heard noises outside her home. When she went to her bedroom she saw dresser drawers pulled out and her clothing scattered all over the room.

When she walked outside, she confronted the suspect, who was wearing pantyhose on his head. He ran away on foot. However, he left his black Tahoe.

Sean Jackson lives next door.

“I've been living next to her for quite a few years now. I really want to see her and talk to her, make sure she's ok, it has to be a shocking thing to have happen,” Sean Jackson, neighbor, said.

Jessie Mundy woke up to a police towing the black truck. He says police cars were everywhere.

“There were two or three police cars, but my buddy was telling me they were all over the place, helicopters circling, police at every intersection,” Mundy, neighbor, said.

Police are still searching for Michael Dean Wiley. Inside his truck, police found a large amount of panties, bras, pornographic material, and sex toys. Some of the items belonged to the victim. Police even found an open condom on her front porch. And while he remains on the loose, these neighbors won't let the incident strike fear in their hearts.

“I don't think we're going to change our routine, it's like lightning struck the neighbor's house,” Mundy said.

Once arrested Wiley will be charged with burglary of a habitation.
Police say he appeared to be living inside of the car due to the amount of clothing, personal hygiene, along with bedding, inside the car.  If you have any information on Wiley's whereabouts call Austin police.
