Rodriquez Elementary School teacher arrested for child porn

A teacher from Rodriguez Elementary School has been arrested for possession of child pornography.
Joe Martinez was arrested by the Austin Police Department for the third degree felony. According to Austin Police, all activities occurred off of the Rodriguez Elementary School campus.
The Austin ISD Police department will be conducting an additional investigation.
AISD has placed Martinez on administrative leave without pay and is recommending termination.
"We take these matters very seriously and are committed to the well-being of our students," said Superintendent Paul Cruz. "Austin ISD is thoroughly investigating this matter and will assist APD in any way it can."
