Search for serial bank robber in Central Texas

Police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying and locating a suspect believed to be involved in multiple bank robberies in Central Texas. The most recent robbery happened Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at a Wells Fargo Bank in Cedar Park.

According to the Cedar Park Police Department, police officers were dispatched to the Wells Fargo Bank located at 920 North Lakeline Boulevard around 12:30 p.m. on November 15.

When officers arrived on scene, a bank teller informed the police that a suspect had entered the bank and approached her with a note demanding money. The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash. It is unclear if the suspect left on foot or in a vehicle.

Police officers with the Cedar Park Police Department believe this suspect has been involved in multiple bank robberies in the area. Surveillance video from a robbery at a Chase Bank in Austin earlier in the week shows a similar man wearing the same clothes.

The suspect is described as:

  • Black male, thirty to forty years old with a goatee
  • Wearing a large gold ring on his right hand
  • Reflective sunglasses, light grey hoodie

The FBI is assisting the Cedar Park Police Department with the investigation.
