Suspect arrested after robbing Chase Bank in South Austin

The Austin Police Department has arrested a suspect following a robbery at a Chase Bank. 

According to the Austin Police Department, police officers responded to a bank robbery at the Chase Bank located in the 700 block of East Stassney Lane around 9:20 am on Friday, October 13, 2017. 

When officers arrived on scene, they learned that a female suspect had entered the bank with a black handgun and demanded money. She then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. 

No injuries were reported during this robbery. 

A witness followed the suspect and called 911. 

Police officers with the Austin Police Department located and arrested the suspect without incident.

Her identity has not been released at this time.
