Suspect in fatal East Austin shooting arrested
Austin Police have arrested the suspect wanted in connection to last week's fatal shooting on the 1800 block of Elmira Road in East Austin.
APD have Marvin Gettrelle Henson, 44, in custody for the murder of Ashton Collins. Collins was shot and killed after Henson allegedly attempted to rob a dice game.
Witnesses told police, the victim and Henson were fighting over Henson's gun. During the struggle Henson said he would not shoot the victim but shot him several times. Henson was seen picking up the fired shells around the victim before leaving the scene.
