AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - The Austin Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying a man suspected of robbing a phone store and a bank last week.
Austin police says the suspect robbed a Metro PCS store in the 11100 block of I-35 North on May 29 and the Woodforest National Bank located inside the Wal-Mart in the 1000 block of Norwood Park Boulevard June 1.
According to APD, he made threats to the store employees, displayed a handgun and fled both scenes on foot with undisclosed amounts of cash and property.
The suspect is described as an approximately 5' 6" white man around 40 years old with a thin to average build, short shaggy blond hair and unshaven freckled face with a mustache and goatee. He also has full sleeve tattoos on both arms.
He was wearing glasses and camouflage cargo shorts during the Metro PCS store robbery and sunglasses and dark-colored cargo shorts in the Woodforest National Bank robbery. He carried a black backpack in both.
He was last seeing a white University of Texas baseball cap, white T-shirt, dark cargo shorts and sunglasses, with a handgun and mountain bicycle.
