SWAT situation in South Austin ends peacefully

One person is in custody after a swat standoff in South Austin. The situation started early this morning and Austin police say it ended peacefully.

Police were helping to serve a warrant around 7:30 Tuesday morning at a home on Sugar Hill Drive.

They say the person in the home they were after was not cooperating. That's when SWAT was called out to help. Police blocked off several streets and exercised precautions - for a typical SWAT situation.

APD has not yet said if the suspect is a man or woman or what he or she was arrested for.
