TCSO looking for tips in association with Del Valle death

The Travis County Sheriff's Office is looking for tips in association with an incident in Del Valle. Officials are looking for information on both the victim and the person of interest.

On August 3rd in the early morning hours deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call of an unconscious man bleeding profusely from his leg. 

When deputies arrived to the 8700 block of Linden Road they found the victim, identified as 20-year-old Jordan Michael Rodriguez, in the backseat of a pickup. Rodriguez's injury was determined to be a gunshot wound and despite efforts to save him he was pronounced dead at 1:20 a.m. 

Detectives looked at several persons of interest including Carrington Kazhean Waites who was booked into the Travis County Jail just before noon on August 3rd. Waites is charged with tampering with evidence after officials say he admitted to hiding several items, including a shotgun, that were in the truck with the victim.

The Travis County Sheriff's Office is looking for information about Rodriguez and Waites like activities they may have been involved in and any people they may have been with associated with on the night of August 3rd.
