Texas Education Agency releases school district & school grades

The Texas Education Agency has released letter grades for state school districts and schools under a new rating system with which some public school officials are not happy.

The districts get A to F grades with ratings of "met requirement" and "improvement required" and the ratings are based on how the schools performed in the 2017-18 school year.

The following area school districts got the following grades:

  • Austin ISD - B
  • Round Rock - A
  • Eanes - A
  • Leander - B
  • Pflugerville - B
  • Del Valle - D
  • Georgetown - B
  • Dripping Springs - A
  • San Marcos CISD - C
  • Hays CISD - C

Five AISD schools got an F.
