Texas man pleads not guilty in deadly church bus crash

UVALDE, Texas (AP) -- A 20-year-old Texas man accused of causing a traffic collision that killed 13 people in a minibus returning from a church retreat in March has entered a not guilty plea to all charges.

Jack Dillon Young, of Leakey, entered the plea Thursday at his arraignment at the Uvalde County Justice Center. He's been indicted on multiple charges, including intoxication manslaughter and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon causing serious bodily injury.

The wreck happened March 29 on a two-lane highway west of San Antonio.

A National Transportation Safety Board report says Young told investigators he was checking his phone for a text when the crash happened. According to the report, he said he'd taken prescription drugs before the crash and investigators found marijuana in his pickup
