UT Austin fraternity SAE suspended

A University of Texas at Austin fraternity has been suspended due to "health and safety concerns," according to a statement from the national organization Sigma Alpha Epsilon.

SAE National says staff received information from their anonymous hazing hotline, which lead to an investigation, eventually causing the suspension. They say the Texas Rho chapter was not adhering to the organization's standards and expectations.

UT's SAE chapter was founded in 1882 and will be suspended until the membership has graduated or for a period not sooner than four years, the group says.
