Wind advisory for Central Texas overnight

It may not be officially winter just yet but parts of our area may seem a wintry mix overnight.

A powerful storm system will bring wind and rain, and in some spots some sleet at snow tonight. The best chances for snow will be west of Austin where we could see an inch or two accumulate, mainly on metal and grassy surfaces. The eastern Hill Country will see mainly rain, with a snow dusting possible in spots by morning, again mainly on grass.

Austin will see mostly rain, and while temps will *NOT* drop to freezing, a few snowflakes or sleet pellets are possible very early tomorrow morning. Follow Scott Fisher on Facebook and Twitter for more.
