A woman and her dog were rescued from a trail on the Bull Creek Greenbelt Sunday morning after she fell 20 to 30 feet into a ravine and her dog tried to follow her.

ATCEMS reported that EMS and the Austin Fire Department were responding to a wilderness rescue around 8:30 a.m. after receiving reports that a woman "fell down a gully on a trail" in the 8800 block of Bull Hollow Drive.

A woman in her 50s was declared a trauma alert with multiple, non-life threatening traumatic injuries after a fall of around 20 to 30 feet and transported to St. David's Round Rock Medical Center.

Rescue crews helped the woman's dog out as it had gotten itself stuck with no way out after attempting to follow its owner.
