Woman hospitalized after stabbing in downtown Austin
Police continue to investigate after an early morning stabbing in downtown Austin. It happened just before 4 a.m. near the Salvation Army on Neches between 7th and 8th Streets.
Officials say a woman was stabbed in the area. She suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital. She's expected to be okay.
One witness told police he saw two women fighting before one of them ran off.
Investigators are also speaking to other witnesses and have a person of interest detained.
