On Friday afternoon the second all women's Honor Flight Austin will depart from the Texas capital and head to Washington D.C.

42 World War II, Korean and Vietnam War veterans will head to the nation's capital and visit memorials that have been built in their honor. Honor Flight Austin says the WWII women veterans are coming from across the Lone Star state. The Korean and Vietnam women veterans are all from the Austin area and the surrounding counties.

The flight will leave the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport at 12:10 p.m. and arrive in Washington at 4:15 p.m. It's a quick trip with everyone returning on Saturday just before 6:30 p.m.
