Man Battling Alzheimer's Makes Emotional Plea for Friends to Visit

Posted by MaryBeth Alan Beamer on Sunday, January 3, 2016

(STORYFUL) A January 3 video of a man talking about his battle with Alzheimer’s disease is going viral.

Mary Beth and Alan Beamer, from Grand Rapids, Michigan, posted footage of an emotional Alan discussing his battle with the illness to their shared Facebook account.

Alan said that Alzheimer’s was one of the “meanest things that I have ever seen in my life,” but what was bothering him most appeared to be the lack of visits by his friends and family.

After stressing that his wife Mary Beth was his very best friend, both Alan and Mary Beth made a plea for their friends to take a little time out of their day to visit Alan.
