The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) serves as the front lines for newborns that face the toughest battle from the moment of their first breath. From the time they are born, the babies are closely monitored, and treated to sustain their lives.

Renee is a NICU nurse at WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia, and she understands the struggles these tiny miracles face everyday.

In a recent reunion, sponsored by Kleenex, Renee was able to hear from families whose babies she treated, and lives she saved.

"She was the first person that let me hold my daughter," one mother said.

Some parents also described her as "our hero", and that "there are not enough words to thank [her] for all that [she's] done."

Renee was then reunited with these families, and every baby she's saved . Watch the incredible moment below--and don't forget the Kleenex!
