Police investigating suspicious death in North Austin

The Austin Police Department is investigating a suspicious death in the 1700 block of Rutland.

Police say they got multiple calls about the incident at around 5:45 a.m. They say when they arrived they found a Hispanic male in his mid-20s with an apparent stab wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say they do have one person in custody. That person is not a resident of the complex but may be related to the victim. He is being questioned at APD headquarters.

Homicide detectives are on the scene. Police say they are speaking to other witnesses as well.

Police say they believe there are no other suspects and that this is an isolated incident.
