FOX 7 Debates: Texas Voter I.D. Law

On Tuesday, a Federal Appeals Court will take a second look at Texas' controversial Voter I.D. law.

It's one of the biggest voting rights battles ahead of this year's presidential election, and a ruling from this court could be a final say on whether the state's law is in violation of the voting rights act.

The law requires voters show a valid picture I.D. to cast a ballot. Supporters say it prevents fraud but opponents argue it makes voting harder for the elderly, poor, and minorities, who tend to support democrats and are less likely to have the required I.D.'s.

Joining FOX 7's Mike Warren to talk more about this are Deputy Director of Progress Texas, Phillip Martin  and G.O.P. consultant, Matt Mackowiak.
