Mark Cuban has front row seat for Monday's presidential debate

Mark Cuban will have a “courtside seat” for Monday’s presidential debate.

The Dallas Mavericks owner and outspoken critic of Donald Trump will be seated in the front row at Hofstra University for the first debate between Trump and Hillary Clinton.

Clinton’s campaign invited Cuban and gave him a prime seat for Monday night’s debate. Cuban has been engaged in a Twitter battle with Trump and has taunted the Republican nominee over his taxes and his wealth.

"Mark Cuban is a successful businessman. He believes in things like profit share to help get wages rising. I think he did that in some of his businesses," said Joel Benenson, Clinton's chief strategist on Fox News Sunday. "I think it's legitimate to have a businessperson sitting there who's been advocating for you because of your economic policies."

Cuban flew to the debate site after meeting with this year’s Mavericks players and coaches at the team’s media day on Monday morning.

Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki said he’s been watching Cuban on social media.

"He's been actually really involved in this whole [presidential campaign], which I never thought he would be," Nowitzki said to reporters on Monday. "If you follow him on Twitter, every other day he's hammering at something now. It's been a fun summer from that standpoint, just following him."

Cuban endorsed Clinton at a rally shortly after the Democratic convention.
