Wendy Davis campaigning for Hillary Clinton

A familiar face is campaigning in Central Texas for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

Former State Senator Wendy Davis is in San Marcos speaking to students at Texas State.

Davis has been traveling across the country and talking to voters about why Clinton should be our next president. She was recently in Nevada and New Hampshire.

Davis says Texas is a very important state because of its diverse demographics and she believes that Clinton will do well here.

"She (Clinton) has shown time and time again that working across party lines and no matter how difficult the circumstances are for her personally that she will continue to put her head down bring consensus and to move forward with the kinds of policies that are helpful and effective for people in this country," Davis says.

Davis says she expects Clinton will have a campaign office out of Austin and expects Clinton will visit Central Texas to talk to voters soon.
